At Bonnie View Inn, dining changes with the seasons, offering experiences that reflect the lakeside setting throughout the year. From relaxed waterfront meals to private celebrations, each space is designed around good food, thoughtful service, and time spent by the lake.
Summer dining is centred at The Dockside Patio, open from late June through September for casual lunch and dinner service right on the water. The Lakeview Lodge Dining Room is primarily reserved for private events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and group celebrations, with select seasonal openings including Fall in the Highlands and Thanksgiving dinner.
THE DOCKSIDE
The Dockside Patio brings summer in the Haliburton Highlands to life. Open from late June through Labour Day, this laid-back waterfront spot welcomes guests staying on site as well as visitors arriving by car, boat, jet ski, or even seaplane.
The Dockside offers relaxed patio dining, quick bites between activities, and food to go, all in a welcoming, social setting where the day unfolds naturally by the water.
From beer-battered fish and chips to handcrafted burgers, fresh salads, and shareable plates, the menu blends classic comfort food with seasonal touches. With cold drinks, warm sun, and unbeatable views, The Dockside is a memorable part of any Bonnie View stay.

THE LODGE
Located in the Main Inn, The Lakeview Lodge Dining Room offers a warm and inviting setting overlooking Kashagawigamog Lake. Filled with natural light and classic country inn character, it functions as both a dining space and an adaptable event venue.
Breakfast at The Lodge
The Lodge serves a relaxed lakeside breakfast featuring fresh, made-to-order country inn classics. Options include pancakes, waffles, bacon and eggs, eggs benedict, and seasonal specials.
With bright interiors and panoramic lake views, breakfast at The Lodge is as much about the setting as the food—a calm, welcoming way to begin your day in the Haliburton Highlands.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
RESERVATIONS: By reservation only, available June to October. During the offseason, breakfast can be arranged in advance for groups of 15 people or more.
Private Group Bookings
The Lakeview Lodge Dining Room is primarily a private event venue, ideal for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special occasions. It is available by advance booking for groups of 20 or more, with customized food and beverage service tailored to each event. Options include hors d’oeuvres, buffets, plated dinners, or a relaxed bar-style setup depending on the occasion and group style. Seasonal Packages
On select dates throughout the year, the dining room may also open for limited seasonal service, including spring and winter occasions, the Fall in the Highlands experience, and Thanksgiving dinner. Scoop Life is Bonnie View Inn’s lakeside ice cream stop, adding a nostalgic summer treat to your time on Kashagawigamog Lake. Located near the waterfront and Dockside Patio, it’s the perfect pause after a swim, a paddle, or a relaxed meal by the water.
Featuring classic Kawartha Dairy ice cream cones, milkshakes, and affogatos, Scoop Life is all about simple summer joy, family moments, and that timeless cottage-country feeling.
