CHECK IN – Please call from the parking lot—1 800 461 0347.  We will let you know when the lobby is clear for you to check in.  You will have a waiver to fill in; each person in the room must be on it.(including kids)  Payment is on arrival.  Rooms will be ready for check in after 4:00 PM.  If you will be later then 9:00 PM let us know.  You can arrive on the property after 2:30 to hang out until your room is ready.  Not prior. We have a maximum number of people allowed onsite at one time.  The people checking out have until 1:30 onsite.  This gives us the hour from 1:30-2:30 to sanitize.

CHECK OUT – Please check out by 10:30 AM so we can start the cleaning routine.  After checkout you can hang out until 1:30 PM.  You cannot hang out later.  We have a maximum number of people allowed onsite at one time.  The new people can start arriving after 2:30.  This gives us the hour from 1:30-2:30 to sanitize.  Once you have vacated your room please call or text us so we can start the cleaning process.  Sadly no hugs this year!  🙁

Cancellation Policy—     We understand there are many uncertainties in the world right now.  We hope you understand we are trying to survive as well and want to keep our wonderful inn here for you to enjoy in years to come!!  SO we have implemented a 72 hour cancellation period.  IF you cancel prior to 72 hours there is no penalty.  If you cancel within the 72 hours you would be charged the full amount of your stay.  ((Please!!  If you know at anytime you need to cancel, cancel as early as possible.  Waiting until the last minute blocks our chances of re filling the room.))

What we would ask of you—

*Please do not come if you have been around someone with Covid-19 OR/AND if you experience Fever-Cough-Shortness of breath-Sore Throat. 

*We ask you to respect other guests & all staff at the inn by keeping your hands washed, sneezing/coughing into a tissue that you throw out, cleaning up after yourselves and stay clear of others 6+feet. 

*Please do not move out door furniture from the areas it is located.  Spinning them in their location to be in the sun is fine. 

*Please DO NOT have GLASS anywhere outside on the property. 


  • All Bonnie View Staff serving/cooking food will be wearing masks
  • All Bonnie View Staff will be screened when arriving at work
  • All Bonnie View Staff will keep their hands clean, sneeze/cough into a tissues & dispose, keep surfaces clean & disinfected and will stay social distanced.
  • Your room will be disinfected prior to your check in.  
  • Sports equipment & outside chairs will be disinfected twice a day.  The spray will be accessible if you would like to do it prior to your usage.

  • We are not permitted to do daily cleaning.  Whatever you need replaced, we ask you to place in a bag outside your room for us to replenish it with clean items—before 12PM. Please also set your trash bag outside your room each morning. (Please do not put garbage out at night—animals love that ;))
  • Your room will be made with CLEAN sheets, pillow cases, and top blanket. We have removed the bedspreads. There will be individual bags with towels in them per person booked; they will not be hanging in the bathroom.
  • The pullout sofa bed will not be made up unless you have requested it in advance.
  • Your room has a bar fridge, 7cu microwave, TV, DVD player, coffee maker, hairdryer, fan and iron/board.
  • There are mugs & glasses per person booked.
  • There are 5 BBQ’s around the property you can use-please bring your own tools.
  • We DO NOT have kitchens in any of our accommodation.  Your room is NOT equipped with kitchen items.  Please bring your own plates, cutlery & serving utensils.

WIFI PASSWORD~~ Choose the strongest bonnie view link.  Passwords are given at check in

FIREPLACES~~ DUE to new regulations our in room fireplaces CANNOT HAVE REAL WOOD!!  We have firelogs for sale at the front desk for $5 each.  IF you decide to burn real wood in your fireplace it is a $200 fine

BONFIRES~~ Our pit is caged in by the lake.  There is wood, paper, kindling & marshmallow sticks there.  We sell marshmallows.  If you need help let us know.  This wood CANNOT be used in your in room fireplace.

TAP WATER~~ Our water goes through a chlorine system, then a sand filter system, then a 6 tank  micron system and then a UV filtration system before it gets to you!!  It is safe to drink!    The HOT WATER for most rooms travels a bit of a distance, run the hot water in the sink first for a few minutes to get it there. 

SATELLITE TV~~ Remotes are located in your room box with an instruction sheet. 

HIKING TRAIL~~ We have a great marked hiking trail across the road. 

OWN ALCOHOL~~ You may drink your own alcohol in or just outside your room.  With our liquor license you CANNOT bring your own drinks into our bar, lounge or patio.  PLEASE DO NOT carry glass around the property.  There are many bare feet in the summer – we have plastic glasses at the front desk.

PETS~~ We enjoy pets, but unfortunately we cannot accept them.  For information on boarding your pet nearby, please contact our reservations department. 

NON-SMOKING & NO VAPING POLICY~~ Indoor spaces in the main lodge are non-smoking/non-vaping.  All of our accommodations are also non-smoking/non-vaping.  Please help us to keep non-smoking rooms smoke/vape free.  If you do decide to smoke/vape there will be a $1000 cleaning fee.

BABYSITTERS~~ Babysitters are available with previous notice & their individual cost ($)

FIREWORKS~~  Fireworks are ONLY permitted on New Year’s Eve and the weekends of Victoria Day, Canada Day and the Civic Holiday in the town of Haliburton.  

NOISE~~There is a noise bylaw on our lake.  NO excessive music, screaming, yelling after 11 PM.  There is a $1000 fine if it is called in to local authorities.  


***We want you to have a GREAT STAY!!  There is always someone on-site if you need help during or after the desk hours.  Your check in sheet will have the information to contact us.  We want you to leave wanting to come back and excited to tell your friends to come see us.  So during your stay we encourage you to let Andrea or the desk know if you have any questions, concerns or maintenance needs.  If you are unhappy in any way to give us the chance by letting us know so we can do our best to take care of it right away.  Your check in sheet will have Andrea’s personal cell to insure you can always
